A Discord/Campfire as an alternative to Facebook group

This is not a ‘job board’ feature but a JobBoardly community feature.

I’ve had a couple of wonderful conversations with Jobboardly users (and Kyle as well) on X, but I’m not on Facebook (and don’t want to rejoin that platform again)- so wanted to propose a social media agnostic platform for the community.

I often scroll through the Jobboardpreneurs group page at leisure but unable to participate for the very reason. I’m sure there are many like me.

Can we have something like Discord or 37 signal’s ONCE Campfire? https://once.com/campfire

It could be useful in the longer run and we can go back to suggestions/tips/workarounds etc. whenever we like.

I like this idea and I am also not a user of Facebook. I registered on Facebook only for the sake of this group. But I don’t think a separate community would fly. Facebook is where most people still have accounts and it’s familiar, so it’s easy to just join the group. Not sure this would happen elsewhere. Re Discord - I used it before but for a non-techie person I find it less user friendly. I do like your idea to be able to go back to suggestions/tips/workarounds though…! It’s hard to search in a FB group. Perhaps we could have a post with a list of pinned subjects..?
